Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Imagination Riser LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Pack for My Trip (the "Service"). Pack for My Trip does not have accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use it.

Information we collect

  • Trip details. Your destinations and dates, expected weather, activities (including any you type in), luggage, laundry access, and who is traveling (the number of adults, children's age groups, and pets), plus the packing lists and gear suggestions we make. We do not ask for travelers' names, flight details, or where you are staying.
  • Usage information. Pages you visit, buttons and links you click, the device, browser, and operating system you use, the referring page, and an approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.
  • Technical information. Your IP address and request details, which our hosting provider logs for security and which we use briefly to apply usage limits.

How we use information

  • to provide the Service and show you your results;
  • to understand how the Service is used and improve it;
  • to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and apply usage limits;
  • to respond to you when you contact us;
  • to comply with the law.

Saved trips stay on your device

Trips you save, items you check off, and changes you make to a list are stored in your browser's local storage on this device. We do not receive or store them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Shared trip links

Your trip details are part of your trip link, so anyone you share it with can see them. We do not post your trips anywhere.

Weather and destination lookups

To estimate typical weather, our servers send only your destination's map coordinates to NASA's POWER service, never anything about you. Destination suggestions come from our own copy of GeoNames data.

Amazon

When you click a gear link to Amazon, you leave Pack for My Trip. Amazon may use cookies to record that you came from us so we can earn a commission, and Amazon's own privacy policy applies to what you do there. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details from Amazon.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and your browser's local storage for analytics, so we can count visits and see how people move through the Service, and to remember things on your device. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings; the Service will still work, though anything saved on your device will be lost. Our Service does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service:

  • Anthropic, our AI provider, which processes your answers to generate your results;
  • PostHog, for product analytics and error tracking;
  • Vercel, which hosts the Service.

These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of our business. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We do not keep a database of your answers. Generated results may be cached on our servers so repeat requests load quickly, and analytics data is kept only as long as it helps us run and improve the Service, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). To make a request, email hello@imaginationriser.com. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. Because we do not have accounts, we may ask for details such as the approximate time you used the Service to locate your information.

Children

The Service is meant for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will post a notice on the Service.
